Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how stackdown.org (the "Site") handles information when you play Stackdown in your browser. We built the Site to collect as little as possible: there are no accounts, no ads and no tracking.
Information stored on your device
Your game progress lives in your browser's local storage, not on our servers. This includes:
- puzzles you have started or completed, and how many hints you used;
- stats shown in the Archive, such as streaks and perfect games;
- your sound effects preference.
We cannot see or access this data. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for stackdown.org; doing so resets your progress and stats.
Cookies
The Site sets a session cookie and a security (CSRF) cookie that are needed for it to work. They do not identify you and are not used for advertising or analytics. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
Server logs
Like most websites, our servers automatically record basic request information — such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request — to keep the Site secure and running. These logs are kept only as long as needed for those purposes and are not used to build a profile of you.
Links to app stores
The Site links to Stackdown on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those stores, and the Stackdown mobile apps, are governed by their own privacy policies.
Children
Stackdown is suitable for players of all ages. The Site does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the date above shows when it was last revised.
